My first day in the city

Today is my first day at bloggin. I am not sure what I want to say but I know I would like comments on whatever I write. Tomorrow Perfect & I are going to visit an old women in a nursing home. That woman would be my mom. She is not doing well physically or mentally. Hopefully the trip will go well. It will be very helpful having Perfect along. I am trying to adapt to city life. I moved here from a small town that was alot colder than here. Boy there are alot of people here. I lived here 30 years ago. Things have really changed since then....freeways everywhere!!!! The heat is horrible...not used to anything over 85 degrees. Well, I will close for now but will be back again soon....

Howdy Mom! I know your trip will go well...mostly cuz Perfect is going with you. He's good people that Perfect. (ok...slightly bias...but its true!)
Don't worry, you'll adjust to city life soon. Glad to be your first comment..welcome to the blogosphere!

Yeah, I think you'll adjust too. What would probably help more than anything would be to find some sort of group or class - people that share your interests or concerns. That would be a great way to make some friends and adapt. Just try to remember how unhappy you were in MountainTown, and how much you wanted to move here. Once you settle in and get the thermostat lowered, it will be easier. I hope. I would hate for you to regret your decision, but I don't think that will happen.

by the way - try to never use my real name on the blogosphere. If people linked my real identity to my blog, I would be in trouble ;) They call me Lex around these parts. Ho-Yah

I hope you have fun visiting your mom tomorrow. Love you all the time.

Welcome to the city!!!

Hi Mom in the City

I hope you enjoyed your visit to your mom. Change is always difficult, but everyday I'm amazed at people's adaptability to their environment/circumstances. Good luck with settling in in your new city. Make weekends or your time off time to explore your new city. Visit all the tourist spots and find all the quaint little known places. Have fun. Best wishes.

Leora, Thank-you so much for your comment. Change is very difficult for me but somehow I seem to adjust. I really appreciate your comments on my blog. I will try to get out on the weekends to explore this city.

Dear Lex fori, I really appreciated all your suggestion. I am currently getting names and locations for some a.a. meetings which really help when i can make it them. Maybe you and I can go to the movies...my treat. How soon we forget how miserable we were in another place. I will try to keep that in mind so I can appreciate what I have more redily. Love ya,
